Pharmacare was established to manufacture and distribute pharmaceuticals by a group of Palestinian entrepreneurs led by Mr. Subhi Khoury, a pioneer pharmacist who started the first pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Jordan, in 1962. The company is located in a small environmental friendly industrial zone within the Beitunia district near Ramallah.

Our six members Departmental Directors Executive Committee, the central pillars at Pharmacare, implements the strategic business decisions and directives taken by the Board of Directors, manages the day-to-day business, organizes regular meetings to furnish organizational direction, report up-to-date concerns and news, and suggests proposals and ideas. In Pharmacare, each department has a manager and a group of departments are managed by a Departmental Director; these are:
Mr. Bassim Subhi Khoury Nasr, a leading Palestinian business entrepreneur and politician, is the founder of both Pharmacare PLC and Pharmacare Premium. Mr. Khoury completed his pharmacy studies at the University of Oklahoma to come back with a great potential to make a difference in the Palestinian society. From his contribution to Paltrade (Palestine Trade Centre), the Palestinian Federation of Industries, Birzeit University, Edward Said Conservatory of Music, Payalara and Saint Yves Human Rights organization to his roles in establishing an insurance firm and assuming the prestigious position as the Minister of Economy, Dr Khoury remains among the renowned figures within the present Palestinian leaders and is currently the pioneering agent behind the international expansion of Pharmacare.
Directly supervises QC, QA, RA and Validation departments
Mr. Ghanem started his academic life within the Faculty of Pharmacy at Sindh University, Pakistan, followed by postgraduate studies in Applied Industrial Technology from Al-Quds University. He spent four years in the Quality Control and Biotechnology Departments as an analyst at Gulf Pharma Industry (JULPHAR) – UAE. He then joined the Pharmacare Group in 2006, where he occupied a Technical Manager Assistant position, followed by the Regulatory Affairs Manager, and finally the Quality Director at Pharmacare PCP (Jan. 2014).
PA to Chairman and CEO Dr. Khoury, Mrs. Kouba marks the first point of contact to the CEO and manages meetings, conferences and special campaigns. Mrs. Kouba started her journey with a bachelor’s in Business Administration at Bethlehem University, after which she joined the Pharmacare as the Chairman and CEO’s PA in 1998, which she still serves up-to-date.
Directly manages finance
The finance department is where high volumes of sensitive data is handled. Consequently they are the departments most susceptible to the highest degree of meticulous supervision. Mr. Hammoudeh acts as its director since 1997, Mr. Hammoudeh started his professional journey ensuing a bachelor’s in Business Accountancy at Bethlehem University. Thenceforth, Mr. Hammoudeh has occupied a number of significant positions starting from a PMC (Palestine Medical Company) accountant before moving to a Vice General Manager at the same company. Mr. Hammoudeh, then, moved to Al-NUR Factory where he assumed the General Manager position for a few years. Subsequently, he was appointed as the Financial Manager and finally the current CFO at Pharmcare PLC.
Recently appointed as the Director of Marketing and Sales at Pharmacare PCP in 2017, Mr Ouda comes with a bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Jordan. Prior to attending Pharmacare, he occupied various international positions in Dubai: manager and supervisor at Bristol Myres Squibb, GM at the ‘’Arabian Ethical’’, GM at City Pharmacy Co, and TWIG investor, owner and consultant,
Attending Pharmacare PCP with a bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Cairo, Mr. Tourjman started with an IT Manager position, which concluded within the presently occupied Logistics and Supply Chain Director.
The departmental director with the longest experience in Pharmacare, Mr. Qaddumi comes with a bachelor’s in Chemistry from Bir Zeit University and a master’s degree in Applied Industry from Al-Quds University. Mr. Qaddumi was among the first to join the Pharmacare Group, PCP, in 1987, where he pursued a QC Analyst position on starting, followed by a QC Manager, a Production Manager, a Technical Manager, and finally the Technical and Development Director position presently held.
